About this recipe
Dry tvorog and as little flour as the dough will tolerate. Too much flour and you get scones; the batter should be barely holding together when you shape it.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the tvorog in a large bowl and mash it with a fork until the large curds are broken down.
1 minutes

Step 2
Add the egg, sugar, salt, and half the flour to the bowl, mixing briefly until a sticky dough barely holds together.

Step 3
Dust a clean work surface with the remaining flour, then form the dough into a log and slice into eight equal patties.
3 minutes

Step 4
Gently press each patty to flatten into a disc shaped about 1 inch thick.

Step 5
Heat 1.5 tablespoons of sunflower oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2 minutes

Step 6
Place the patties in the pan, ensuring they do not touch, and fry until the bottoms are golden brown.
4 minutes

Step 7
Flip the patties, add the remaining oil if needed, and fry until the other side is golden and the center is set.
4 minutes

Step 8
Remove from the pan and serve immediately with a dollop of smetana, a spoonful of raspberry preserve, and a drizzle of honey.
