Instructions
Step 1
Place the beef tongue in a large pot with water, bring to a boil, skim the foam, and simmer on low heat until fork-tender.

Remove the tongue from the water, immediately plunge it into a bowl of ice-cold water for easier skin removal, then peel off the rough outer layer and dice into small cubes.

Boil the unpeeled potatoes and carrots in a separate pot of water until they are tender when pierced with a knife.
